About the programme
Management of Medium-Sized Companies (Management mittelständischer Unternehmen) at HTW Dresden is a three-semester Master of Arts worth 90 ECTS, taught in German, starting in the summer semester. You can study full time or part time, and a double-degree programme is offered. It focuses on medium-sized companies and how regionally rooted firms compete globally, with business specialisation in corporate management and process, financial and risk management. The first semester gives applied knowledge such as controlling for medium-sized companies. The second deepens this through compulsory and elective modules and a practical project in a medium-sized company, and the third is for a thesis linked to that project. Insight into technology processes and IT helps you manage where technical and business questions meet. It suits graduates aiming for cross-functional or managing director roles in medium-sized companies, founding their own business, or consulting.
