About the programme
Multichannel Trade Management in Textile Business is a Master of Arts (M.A.) at HAW Hamburg, taught in German and English. It takes 3 full-time semesters and admits new students in the summer semester only. The course grew from a collaboration with the Otto Group, which began in 2008, so you can apply theory in real settings through internships and practical work across its companies. The first semester covers retail buying, marketing, supply chain management, CSR and clothing assessment, plus international trade. The second covers the textile life cycle, product management and collection development, and management accounting, tied together in a multichannel trade management module, with guest experts and case studies. You complete two practical phases and a Master's thesis, ideally with an Otto Group company. It suits graduates in business, clothing technology, textiles management or fashion design. Requirements include English at B2.
