About the programme
Digital Reality is a German-taught Master of Science (M.Sc.) at HAW Hamburg on the Art and Media Campus at Finkenau. It takes 4 semesters full-time (part-time status is possible), and admits new students in the summer semester only. The course sits where media and IT meet and focuses on virtual, augmented and mixed reality. In the first year you build mathematical and technical foundations with a focus on digital realities. In the second year you specialise, and a major project and research seminar help you find your Master's thesis topic, sometimes completed in a company. Graduates are in demand in media, IT, engineering, events and museums. It has a research emphasis and suits graduates in computer science or IT, including media systems or media technology. International applicants with a foreign degree need German at C1.
