About the programme

Psychology with a focus on Experimental Psychology and Neuroscience at Bielefeld University is a four-semester Master of Science worth 120 credit points, starting in the winter semester. It builds on a Bachelor's in psychology and rests on two pillars. The first gives you research methods, such as eye tracking, EEG and fMRI, plus programming research equipment in languages such as Python and MatLab, and programming data analysis in current statistical environments, brought together in a neurocognitive project. The second deepens cognitive neuroscience, including attention, memory, perception, motivation and emotion, plus neuropsychology and clinical neuroscience, which link basic research to work with people with brain damage, their assessment and rehabilitation. You also deepen the methodological foundations of psychology and computer-based data collection. It suits psychology graduates who want to do research in experimental psychology or neuroscience.
