About the programme

MathMods (Mathematical Modelling in Engineering: Theory, Numerics, Applications) is an Erasmus Mundus Master of Science that teaches you to turn social, economic and technical problems into mathematical models and solve them. It focuses on the mathematics shared by many engineering fields and runs jointly at L'Aquila, Barcelona, Gdańsk, Nice and Universität Hamburg. You spend the first semester on theory in L'Aquila and the second on numerics in Hamburg; in the third you specialise at a partner university, where you also write your thesis in the fourth. You are expected to study at a minimum of two external institutions and take language courses while at a partner university. The programme lasts four semesters, is taught in English and starts in winter.
