About the programme

The master's programme in Business Administration (Betriebswirtschaftslehre, BWL) at the University of Greifswald lasts four semesters, can start in the winter or summer semester, and is taught mainly in German, with English as a further language of instruction. It lets you deepen and broaden your knowledge of business administration and economics. The programme draws on business administration, economics, quantitative methods of information processing, and the culture, geography and economy of the Baltic Sea region, spread across 15 specialisations, nine of them in business administration and four in economics. You choose three specialisations and can put the content together freely. The master's examination includes the specialisation module exams, two seminars with a presentation and paper, an oral exam in one specialisation, a two-month internship related to economics, and a master's thesis written over six months.

Prerequisites

Admission to the degree programme is only possible if at least 90 credit points have been acquired in economics-oriented subjects in the previous degree programme. This is regularly fulfilled in the case of Bachelor's degree programmes in Business and Economics.
