About the programme
Chemistry is an English-taught, research-focused Master of Science at the University of Bonn. It aims to enable you to solve complex problems independently, using a wide range of scientific methods taught during the programme. Research in the Chemistry Department ranges from fundamental topics, such as element-metal multiple bonds and reaction paths, to applied ones, such as sensors and catalysis. The programme is aimed mainly at students with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. It lasts four semesters and starts in the winter or summer semester. It suits graduates with a broad grounding in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. Graduates work in research, product development and quality management, safety management, chemical process development, patents, and the pharmaceutical or oil industries.
