About the programme

People Management is a Master of Science at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) for communicative, digitally minded people who enjoy working with others and want to shape modern HR in companies. You learn to help companies attract, motivate and keep talent, and to design people management in a data- and theory-based way, along with general management and leadership skills. The programme starts in summer; first-semester modules include performance measurement, strategic management, innovation and change management, and digital transformation in people management, followed by leadership training, employment law, people management in global companies and project management, and finally people analytics and AI before your thesis in the third semester. Modules are taught in German or English. Teaching uses projects, case studies and small groups. Graduates can work as HR business partners and in strategic HR, recruitment, compensation and staff development.

Prerequisites

  • a first bachelor's degree in business administration or a related study program with a final grade of 2.5 or better
  • English knowledge at level B2
  • For a first degree with 180 ECTS, you complete an additional semester before registering for your master's thesis.

Students with a 6-semester undergraduate degree in Business Administration have the option of making up for the missing 30 ECTS credits by completing a practical phase, a study abroad program, or by completing modules worth 30 ECTS credits

The missing credit points must be earned before the start of the master's thesis.
