About the programme

The MSc Chemistry at Ulm University is a research-oriented programme taught in English, worth 120 ECTS, with a start in the winter or summer semester. You choose compulsory elective modules from the chemistry specialisations, and almost all theory courses are seminars linked to the professors' current research. The whole experimental part runs as project work: individual research internships in the working groups, where you carry out scientific sub-projects under supervision. A preparatory seminar leads into your Master's thesis. Student numbers are comparatively low, so courses run in small seminar-style groups. The programme is built on intensive laboratory work and prepares you for a career in science or industry.

As per University Mail

s you can see when checking the prerequisites for an admission to the

Master of Science Chemistry, the admission commission needs to check

the awarded credit points in chemistry related subjects and laboratory

courses etc. Therefore some kind of transcript is actually needed. If

the degree is not finished by the time of application, a preliminary

version will be accepted (but the check can only be carried out with

this version in this case). For the final enrollment, the degree

certificate and the final transcript can be provided later (before the

respective deadline). So please try to get some kind of transcript

when applying online via the University Ulm homepage. During this
