About the programme

Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management at TU Bergakademie Freiberg is a research-oriented Master of Science taught in English, lasting three semesters, with part-time study possible and starts in the winter or the summer semester. It gives you the knowledge and skills for independent scientific work in sustainable mining, mine rehabilitation and revitalisation, preparing you to take on management responsibility. The programme builds on Germany's expertise in mining remediation, particularly for uranium, lignite and ore mining, and combines natural sciences, engineering and economics with environmental law and georesource management.
