About the programme

The MSc Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik) at Reutlingen University takes 3 semesters and 90 ECTS, is taught in German and English, and starts in the winter or summer semester on the Reutlingen campus. You work intensively on planning, developing and using complex information and communication systems and digital products and services for companies and large organisations. The programme is strongly interdisciplinary, and you set your focus in one of three fields: Digital Business, Data and Analytics, or Enterprise Computing. The compulsory part includes a two-semester Master's project, in which your team works on a comprehensive case study, and your Master's thesis, alongside nine elective modules, with at least two from each of the three fields. It suits graduates in business informatics or a related field.

Prerequisites

  • Qualified university degree in business informatics or a related subject, usually with 210 ECTS credits.
  • The selection committee will decide on  related university degrees  on a case-by-case basis. The decisive factor here is that your undergraduate degree program contains sufficient content from both computer science and business administration. Please indicate the individual modules of your bachelor's degree program and their scope in your application documents, e.g., via a transcript of records.
  • As an applicant with a corresponding  Bachelor's degree with 180 ECTS credits, you can also apply for admission, but you must also complete individually determined adjustment credits of more than 30 ECTS credits at the beginning of the Master's program.
