About the programme

European Management Studies (EMS) is a fully integrated double-degree Master of Arts run by ESB Business School at Reutlingen University and the École de Management of the Université de Strasbourg. It is designed for non-economists: graduates of humanities, social science or natural science degrees gain general business knowledge, and no prior management knowledge is expected. You study in three languages, German, French and English, and in two countries, Germany and France, each with an integrated practical phase. The programme takes 4 semesters and starts in the winter semester, with 30 places, 15 through each school. You build management skills for Franco-German and international business and learn to work with different business cultures.

  • In principle, the programme is open to graduates of all disciplines, but is primarily designed for non-economists. (Knowledge of management and business administration is not a prerequisite.)
  • Please note that degrees from foreign universities must be recognised in Germany by the "Studienkolleg Konstanz".
