About the programme

Betriebswirtschaftslehre (Business Administration) is a German-taught M.Sc. at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg over 4 semesters with 120 credits, starting in the winter semester. It builds advanced, broad knowledge of business, methods and law, which you deepen in two specialisation pillars chosen from Operations Management, market-oriented corporate management, Organizational Behavior and Ethics, and Accounting and Finance. The programme has 30 credits of compulsory modules, 20 credits of economic methods, 25 credits in each specialisation and a 20-credit Master's thesis, and some courses are in English. Graduates work in large companies and banks, medium-sized firms, retail, business associations, consultancies and market research, or continue to a doctorate. It needs a degree with at least 60 credits in economics and business and a grade of 2.5 or better.

Prerequisites

The prerequisite for admission is proof of a university degree qualifying for a profession (usually Bachelor's) in a degree programme with economics modules of at least 60 CP and a final grade of 2.5 or better.

Sound knowledge of mathematics and English as well as the confident handling of English-language literature are strongly recommended. Individual courses and examinations are offered in English.

the Bachelor's degree certificate or an equivalent proof of education in the form of certified copies or certified translations, if the originals are not in German or English. If you are unable to submit the certificate of the first university degree qualifying for a profession until after the application deadline, submit an overview of subjects and grades of at least 2/3 of the total achievements to be achieved in your studies with the application documents. The certificate must be submitted by 31.03 of the following year at the latest when enrolling in the winter semester.
