About the programme
Mathematics is an English-taught Master of Science at Leipzig University that offers in-depth, research-oriented education across a wide range of mathematical disciplines. You take part in current research topics under the guidance of international lecturers, and the broad, flexible curriculum lets you build a skills profile for a doctorate or for a career in the private or public sector. The programme has 120 credits over four semesters, including at least 10 credits of professionalisation modules for career orientation, and ends in the fourth semester with a 25-credit Master's thesis and a 5-credit Master's seminar. First-year students start in the winter semester; a summer start is only possible for higher semesters. It suits graduates in mathematics or a related subject with a strong mathematical component.
