About the programme
Business Chemistry (Wirtschaftschemie) at Kiel University (CAU) is a single-subject Master's of 3 semesters, run by the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Teaching and exams are in English, though some electives may be taught in German. It gives you advanced knowledge in both economics and business and chemistry, with application-based teaching that helps you answer questions as independently as possible through practical experiments. In chemistry you specialise in an area such as inorganic, organic, physical or theoretical chemistry. Careers include controlling and marketing in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, supply chain management in production, and roles in business and science organisations, as well as research. The wide choice of options makes part-time study possible, for example alongside a job. To enrol you need chemistry knowledge and at least 30 ECTS in business administration.
