About the programme
International Economics, Business and Cultural Diplomacy (EBCD) is an English-taught master's from Furtwangen University (HFU), run in Berlin on the campus of its partner, the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD). It combines a sound understanding of international business relations with intercultural competence and cultural diplomacy. The first semester covers the history and future of cultural diplomacy with electives such as Nation Branding or European Politics; the second includes a professional development programme at the ICD; the third offers a specialisation such as international economics, marketing or business strategy; and the fourth is for your thesis. Note that participants are registered at HFU as external, non-enrolled participants rather than enrolled students. It usually takes four semesters, or three on a fast track, starting in March or September. It suits bachelor's graduates interested in international business and diplomacy.
