About the programme
The Master's in Software Engineering at the University of Stuttgart runs for four semesters and is purely software-engineering oriented, without focusing too much on single application areas. Teaching is in German. You specialise by choosing from a wide range of advanced module series that cover the full research scope of the field and prepare you for work in industry or research. The education is very practice-oriented and prepares you directly for jobs in software design and development. Requirements include a Bachelor's in software engineering or a related field with good results, ideally with project experience comparable to the study project in Stuttgart's Bachelor's programme. Applicants from related Bachelor's programmes can be admitted with conditions, usually one or two basic or core modules.
