About the programme

Simulation and System Design is an English-taught Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) at the University of Stralsund's School of Mechanical Engineering, on a campus right on the Baltic Sea. It takes 3 semesters (90 ECTS) with a 210 ECTS first degree, or 4 semesters (120 ECTS) with 180 ECTS; the 3-semester version starts in summer or winter and the 4-semester version in summer. You learn to design and simulate technical systems and systems in logistics and production, using software packages for analysis, development and simulation, including numerical methods and computational fluid dynamics. Selected business topics help you judge the economic side of your decisions. It suits mechanical engineering graduates with a Bachelor's grade of 1.7 or better, prior credits in programming, control engineering and 3D CAD, and English at B2. It prepares you for leadership in research and development, or a doctorate.
