It is to your advantage to be able to speak German. Because all lectures and exams take place in English, you can attend the Master Program without any German knowledge. Many people in Germany speak English, however it is always good to have a basic knowledge of the language spoken in the country in which you are living. We advise students to learn German because it is necessary for cultural integration in your everyday life in Lübeck and also for your job search.

Step 3
After receiving the verification, please print out application forms 1 and 2 with your personal data (a black and white printout is adequate). Please verify that you have signed the last pages of both forms - all unsigned application forms will be rejected. Please make sure that you always write your first name and your surname in the same way it is written in your passport!

Selection process
After receiving your application the organisation "uni-assist" will send you, by conventional post or by email, the acknowledgement of receipt (We are not responsible for postal delivery delays!). They will inform you, if something is missing and you still have time to submit it later. Only after this step is completed, will your application be considered in the official selection procedure.
We will make our final decision based on the evaluation done by uni-assist. We will inform all students in May/June, if they are offered a place in the program or not. That leaves you enough time to apply for the visa, which might in some cases take up to three months.
