About the programme

Applied Research and Development in the Engineering Sciences at TH Rosenheim is a three-semester Master of Science worth 90 ECTS, taught at the Rosenheim and Burghausen campuses. The page lists German and English as languages, and courses and exams run almost entirely in English. You can start in the winter or the summer semester, full time. The programme is project-based: in the first two semesters you work on topics from current research and development projects in the university's labs, then write your Master's thesis in one of these labs. In total 54 credit points go to research and development projects, 8 to required courses and 28 to modules you pick freely. Research areas include chemical, electrical, mechanical and medical engineering, computer science, wood and plastics technology. It suits engineering graduates who want practice-oriented work on technical challenges or a path towards a doctorate.
