About the programme

Sport Science for Health at the University of Konstanz is a four-semester Master's taught in English, worth 120 ECTS, that shows you how to use sport science to maintain and improve health. Physical inactivity and low fitness are major risk factors for noncommunicable diseases, and the programme gives you the skills to help tackle them. Its approach is comprehensive, from basic research to real-life applications; multidisciplinary, with training and movement science, sport psychology and social and health science; and multimethod, using neuroscience, exercise physiology, neuromechanics, psychometrics and ambulatory assessment. You can specialise in your own area of interest. The programme starts in the winter semester, admission is restricted, and on average about 15 new students join. It suits graduates with a Bachelor's in sport science or a closely related subject. Alumni have gone on to train as sports psychologists or to work as project or sales managers.
