About the programme
International Information Management: Information Science at the University of Hildesheim is a four-semester, full-time Master of Arts, starting in the summer or the winter semester. It links intercultural communication with knowledge management and prepares you for the linguistic and cultural diversity of an international, networked working world, where companies must handle both information systems and different languages and cultures. You gain in-depth knowledge and skills for information science and linguistic work in a multilingual setting. A compulsory module looks at perspectives of information science, such as identity in digital networks, informational self-determination and data security. Electives include international human-computer interaction, online communication, language technology and multilingual information systems, plus modules from the parallel linguistics and intercultural communication programme and a minor in business, psychology, social sciences, IT or philosophy. It suits graduates aiming for information management, information architecture, usability, e-learning, e-business, e-government or consulting.
