About the programme

Computer Science - Trustworthy Systems at Hochschule Bremerhaven is a three-semester Master of Science with 90 credits, focused on the security, reliability and transparency of software systems. Most courses are taught in German, with a smaller part in English, and you can study full-time or part-time, starting in the winter or the summer semester. The heart of the programme is two one-semester Master's projects, usually with a company, a public agency or a nonprofit, where you develop research-based solutions to a practical problem, often built on open-source software. Topic-oriented modules lay the technical foundations of trustworthy software, and current research is part of the joint work. Digital sovereignty, open source and sustainability shape the programme's culture. Requirements include a background in computer science or business informatics. Graduates find roles from consulting and strategy development to implementation projects.
