About the programme
Human Factors Engineering at TUM is a full-time Master of Science taught in German and English, over four semesters with 120 ECTS, with Garching and Munich as its locations. You can start in the winter or the summer semester. Technical systems keep getting more powerful while their users become more diverse, and this programme teaches you to design systems, products and processes that bring people the greatest possible benefit. It is strongly interdisciplinary, bringing together requirements from engineering, informatics, psychology, medicine, design, movement and health sciences and the social sciences, always with their ethical and social side in view. You can specialise in Biomechanical Human Modeling, Human-Centered Systems Engineering or Human-Machine Interaction Design. Graduates are experts in human-oriented technology development and design the interfaces between people and technology. Admission is through an aptitude assessment.
