About the programme
Automotive Engineering at TUM in Garching is a full-time, four-semester Master of Science with 120 ECTS, with a start in the winter or the summer semester, and German or English as the required language. The automotive industry, its products and its market are changing fast, and you learn to analyse and shape this change and develop innovative solutions for the mobility of the future. The programme trains automotive engineers who develop vehicles, mobility systems and business models at the interface of mechanical, electrical and software engineering, with a holistic view of mobility, vehicles, subsystems and how they interact. You combine strong engineering, mathematical and scientific foundations with your own specialisation, for example in production, materials, electric vehicles, autonomous driving, mobility and transport, simulation, control theory, or entrepreneurship and management. Admission is through an aptitude assessment.
