About the programme
Media Informatics at Saarland University is a four-semester Master of Science worth 120 ECTS, taught in English, with starts in the winter or the summer semester. It sits where computer science, design and human-computer interaction meet, and it combines practical relevance with a firm scientific grounding. You gain the analytical, creative and practical skills needed to build software and systems for digital media, and design training comes through a cooperation with Saarland's University of Art and Design (HBKsaar). You take courses in media informatics and informatics, carry out a media art and design project, and spend a semester-long work experience phase at a company in the field. Soft-skill seminars build communication and presentation skills, and the project-based curriculum encourages interdisciplinary teamwork. It suits graduates who want to help shape digital technologies and user experiences.
