About the programme
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Saarland University is an international four-semester Master of Science worth 120 ECTS, taught in English, with starts in the winter or the summer semester. It prepares you for research and development work in AI and builds on complex data analysis and automation: mathematics and statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, data management, modelling and simulation, data visualisation and computer security. You work on real questions from fields such as computational linguistics, physics, materials science, chemistry, psychology and biology, and because you handle sensitive data, IT security, law, data protection, philosophy and ethics also matter. An industrial internship and a research-group internship can count as electives. Professors from computer science and language science and technology teach alongside scientists from the research centres on campus. It suits graduates in computer science or a related field.
