About the programme
The Master of Engineering in Occupational, Operational and Plant Safety (Arbeits-, Betriebs- und Anlagensicherheit) at Rheinische Hochschule Köln (RH Köln) is a part-time, continuing-education programme of four semesters and 90 credit points in a hybrid format, starting in the winter semester. It combines a distinctive mix of subjects with a strong focus on communication skills. You start with the foundations of safety engineering and prepare for your first independent project. Further modules cover critical infrastructure in energy, utilities and computer-based systems, integrated operational safety with occupational health and safety and preparation for incidents whose effects reach beyond a site, and the mathematical and legal basis for risk assessment. Graduates can work as specialists or managers in the chemical industry, production and logistics, services and administration, or research and development.
