About the programme
Product Development in Mechanical Engineering is a three-semester Master of Science at Ravensburg-Weingarten University (RWU), with a start in the winter or summer semester. It focuses on the overarching skills development engineers need to create tomorrow's products. You learn the fundamentals of product development, including development methodology, simulation, lightweight design, materials and production, in a personal atmosphere. In demanding projects, some in cooperation with research projects or companies, you then break new ground in product development. The programme is aimed at graduates of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or related fields, and at engineers from industry. After graduating, paths open up to project or department manager roles in industrial companies, or to a university career.
