About the programme
Computer Engineering is a research-focused Master of Science at Paderborn University, taught mostly in English with some courses in German. It trains you to analyse problems in hardware and software systems on your own and to solve them with scientific methods, and you can specialise, for example in nano- and microelectronics or embedded systems. The standard period is 4 semesters with 120 ECTS, with a start in the summer or winter semester. The programme includes a two-semester project group, where teams of about six to twelve students work on an advanced research and development project. It suits graduates of computer engineering or a similar bachelor's with a grounding in mathematics, computer science and electrical engineering.
