About the programme
The MSc Computer Science with Data Science is offered by IU International University of Applied Sciences. It is taught fully in English on the Cologne campus, lasts 24 months, is worth 120 ECTS and leads to a German state-accredited degree. You build a broad base in computer science through modules such as cyber security and data protection, software engineering, and networks and distributed systems, then specialise in data science with a data engineering project and a module on explainable and interpretable machine learning models. The focus is on machine learning, data engineering workflows and programming in Python, applied to real-world datasets. Face-to-face classes are supplemented by self-study with digital tools, and you finish with a Master's thesis and colloquium. It prepares you for careers in data-driven industries.
