About the programme
Computer Science is a German-taught Master of Science (M.Sc.) at HAW Hamburg, the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, on the Berliner Tor campus. It takes 4 full-time semesters, with starts in winter and summer, and has a large share of project work. Through links with the department's research groups you can join current research on autonomous and intelligent systems, innovative information systems, data science, network-based and time-critical systems, and security and reliability. This lets you work intensively on one area that interests you, and most students write their Master's thesis in the department's computer labs alongside a research group. It suits graduates of a three-year computer science degree, or a comparable one, with a grade of 'good' (2.5) who want to keep studying in a research-rich setting. Requirements include English at B2 and, as an international applicant, German at C1.
