About the programme
High Performance Computing / Quantum Computing is an English-taught MSc at Deggendorf Institute of Technology's Faculty of Computer Science. It takes 3 semesters and starts in the summer semester. Building on your knowledge of computer science, physics or engineering, you learn the technology of quantum computing, along with high-performance computing, its basis, where you design programs for supercomputers or learn to design such systems. Modules include physics, advanced mathematics, computer architectures, networks, programming labs, optimisation methods and infrastructure for HPC and QC, plus electives, a Master's colloquium and a thesis. The programme is supported by partnerships with industry and other institutions, and graduates are in demand wherever large data centres are built or run. It suits graduates in computer science, physics, engineering or a related field.
