About the programme
Applied Research in Engineering Sciences is an MSc at Deggendorf Institute of Technology's Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Media Technology that trains young engineers for applied research and development. The programme is built around a real R&D project: your supervising professor offers the project topic from their own research, and your courses are arranged individually with your supervisor to fit the task. A professor supervises you in the research project throughout your studies, and the aim is further scientific qualification, including a publication. Besides deepening your specialist knowledge, you build skills in project management, research, securing funding, writing research proposals, presenting results and preparing a scientific publication. The programme is offered jointly by the universities of Amberg-Weiden, Augsburg, Deggendorf, Ingolstadt, Munich, Nuremberg and Regensburg, so a wide range of research topics and contacts with research institutes and companies is available.
