About the programme

Information Science is a German-taught, four-semester Master of Science at Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da) on the Dieburg campus. Please note that the page currently says admission is only to higher semesters. Information scientists are experts in handling data, information and knowledge who help companies and society through digital change. The programme deepens your technical and scientific skills in preparing and analysing data and information and in how people process it, preparing you for management, design, research and development roles. In the first two semesters, practice-oriented project modules take up a large part alongside specialist modules; a scientific practical project follows, then a master's thesis at the university, a company or another institution. A dual format is available. It suits graduates in information science, computer science or a related field. Graduates work in IT, media and libraries, or go on to a doctorate.
