About the programme
Climate-adapted Construction and Operation is a German-taught Master of Science at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), on the main campus in Cottbus. It takes 4 semesters full-time, you can start in winter or summer, and admission is not limited. You learn to design energy and resource efficient buildings and run them efficiently, covering building design, building materials and technical building equipment, with a special focus on renewable energies. The approach is interdisciplinary in both teaching and the mix of students. Planning projects in joint working groups let you apply climate-adapted construction to new and existing buildings. Graduates work in architecture and engineering offices, energy consulting, construction administration and public authorities. Requirements include seven semesters of undergraduate study, including a practical phase, in architecture, civil engineering, building and energy technology or an equivalent field; six-semester graduates take 30 credits of extra modules.
