About the programme

The Civil Engineering Master's at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) offers deeper study and specialisation for graduates of a civil engineering or related Bachelor's. It is practice-oriented and prepares you for specialist and leadership roles in construction companies, planning offices and public administration. It is linked with the Architecture Master's, so you work on joint projects in electives. Focus areas include construction management and project control, digital planning, building and operation, and structural design. The construction management track covers contracts, claims, procurement, budget and schedule control, quality assurance and lean construction. The programme combines technology, digitalisation, management and sustainability, with labs, project work and research elements. It lasts three semesters and can start in winter or summer, though most modules run once a year. Teaching is in German.
