About the programme

Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the University of Stuttgart is a four-semester Master's that teaches both fields together. Teaching is in German. Data science covers modelling data, handling large amounts of data efficiently and interpreting it with scalable queries and statistical analysis. Machine learning extracts knowledge from data and uses it in autonomous systems, for example for medical diagnoses, customer advice, self-driving cars or controlling energy systems. Because data science needs AI to make full use of data, and AI needs data science to work well, you learn to derive both useful knowledge and meaningful automated actions from data. Requirements include a degree in data science or artificial intelligence, or a Bachelor's in computer science, software engineering or similar, possibly with conditions.
