About the programme

Polymer Science is a joint MSc programme of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and the University of Potsdam, so your courses take place across all four universities. In the first year you take courses such as Introduction to Macromolecular Chemistry, Polymer Characterization and Introduction to Polymer Theory in winter, and Polymer Materials and Technologies, Physical Chemistry of Polymeric Materials, Functional Polymers and Colloids and Advanced Polymers and Nanomaterials in summer, with several lab courses. In the second year you choose recommended modules, ideally as whole modules. You can start in the winter or summer semester.
