About the programme

Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems (AIIS) is an international, English-taught Master of Science at the University of Bremen. It takes 4 semesters (120 ECTS), starts in the winter semester and has restricted admission. You take research-based courses in an interdisciplinary setting with well-known researchers in AI, cognitive systems and robotics, and get thorough training in theoretical, practical and applied AI. You specialise in Cognition-Enabled Robotics and Machine Learning and Cognitive Systems, choosing one as your major and the other as your minor. A Guided Research module lets you run your own research project with individual supervision by a professor, and a Master Project module, a speciality of Bremen's computer science programmes, has groups working intensively on practically important topics over a longer period.

a degree program in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems and Management, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or Physics with at least 180 credit points

90 credit points Computer Science (especially in the areas of mathematics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software design, theoretical computer science, programming and/or project work)

At the time of the application, B2 is sufficient, but C1 must be proved 2 weeks after the start of the lecture period.
