About the programme

Environmental Engineering at TUM in Munich is a full-time, English-taught Master of Science over four semesters with 120 ECTS, with a start in the winter or the summer semester. You learn to recognise, analyse and shape the interactions between natural systems, human activity and technical systems, with a focus on sustainability. Subjects range from hydrogeology and hydraulic engineering, environmental geotechnics and environmental hazards to resource-efficient urban planning and sustainable mobility planning, and they cover economic and social dimensions as well as engineering. You learn techniques for collecting many kinds of environmental data and methods for processing, visualising and interpreting it, and you analyse systems such as resource use, transport, water cycles, soils and air quality.
