About the programme
Industrial Engineering and Management is a Master of Science at TU Berlin; its fact box lists German as the language of instruction, while the programme text says it is taught in German and English. It lasts four semesters with 120 credits and starts in the summer or winter semester. You have a lot of freedom in choosing electives to build your own profile. A voluntary internship can count for 6 credits as an elective, and the programme offers more than 250 exchange programmes with universities abroad. It suits graduates in industrial engineering and management or a similar engineering or natural science degree with at least 35 credits each in economics, engineering basics, and mathematics and quantitative methods.

In the first step, the access criteria are checked. These are:
a first professional university degree (e.g. bachelor’s or diploma) in a course of study in the field of industrial engineering or a related course of study in engineering or natural sciences as well as
Proof (completed exams by the application deadline) of specialist knowledge to the extent of at least
35 LP in economics (business administration, economics and law),
35 LP in engineering basics and
35 LP in mathematics and quantitative methods (including at least 10 LP in engineering mathematics, 5 LP in statistics, 5 LP in operations research and 5 LP in programming). It should be noted that it must be about methodical skills, e.g. learning a programming language instead of using it in a programming project.
