About the programme

Data and Knowledge Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg is a four-semester Master of Science taught in German and English, with starts in the winter or the summer semester. It gives you solid knowledge of the theory and applications of knowledge discovery, machine learning, data mining and warehousing, the database technology behind them, and languages and models for representing data, information and knowledge. Through practice-oriented and interdisciplinary courses and project work, you meet the challenges of applications from business, natural sciences, biotechnology, security, and industrial manufacturing and control, and you learn to design new solutions both on your own and in teams.
