About the programme

English and American Literatures, Cultures, and Media at Kiel University (CAU) is a single-subject Master of Arts at the Faculty of Humanities, with a standard period of 4 semesters. English and American literature, culture and media are at the centre of the programme, which aims to deepen your knowledge of current research questions and methods. By the end you should be able to apply differentiated methodological and analytical skills and extend your academic findings independently. It suits you if terms such as fiction, literature, art, film, popular culture or media excite you, longer texts attract rather than put you off, and books spark your enthusiasm. Part-time study can be requested in some single-subject Master's programmes for important reasons.
