About the programme

Drug Research and Technology at Kiel University (CAU) is a single-subject Master's of 2 semesters, and you can start in the winter or the summer semester, with a summer start recommended. It is for pharmacy graduates who want to go beyond how medicines work and are used, towards their research and development. Prerequisites

The prerequisites for admission to the Master's degree program are the passed Second State Examination in Pharmacy, the methodology test (grade 2.5 or better) and, if applicable, proof of knowledge of the German language (level DSH-3).

  • Research interest in one of the following disciplines:
  • Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Biology, Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.
  • Expansion of competencies in the field of drug discovery
  • Independent processing of scientific problems and tasks
  • Writing an independent scientific paper based on current drug research projects
  • Methodology Test: You need to pass the methodology test with a grade of 2.5 or better
