About the programme

Data Science is a German-taught, four-semester Master of Science at Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da) for students who want to use methods from mathematics, computer science and statistics to extract facts and knowledge from large amounts of data. It is aimed mainly at graduates of computer science and mathematics. In the first semester a synchronisation module brings students from different bachelor's programmes to the same level. Lectures with exercises and computer labs, seminars and an extensive practical project are complemented by courses on the ethics of big data, project management and communication. The programme starts in the winter semester and can also be studied in a dual format. It suits graduates in mathematics, computer science or similar fields.
